Judges & Rule Disputes
For structured events, a designated Judge will be assigned to:
-
Interpret game rules and make rulings during matches
-
Mediate disputes quickly and fairly to keep games on track
-
Ensure the event adheres to timelines and expectations
Judges may be staff or trusted community members who are not participating in the event to avoid conflicts of interest.
Judges’ decisions are final during an event. Disputes must be raised respectfully; repeated arguing or refusal to accept rulings may result in penalties or disqualification.
Unacceptable Behavior
The following actions may result in a warning, game loss, removal from the event, or a ban from future gameplay:
-
Unsportsmanlike conduct (taunting, cheating, arguing excessively)
-
Disrespectful or discriminatory language or behavior
-
Intentionally stalling games or creating delays
-
Damaging store property or community terrain
-
Using alcohol irresponsibly or arriving visibly intoxicated
If you witness or experience behavior that makes you uncomfortable, report it to a staff member or Judge immediately and discreetly.
Event Integrity
-
If you drop from an event, notify staff promptly so we can adjust pairings.
-
Any attempt to manipulate pairings, standings, or prizes will result in immediate disqualification.
